Charlie is responsible for organic growth and strategy for the western region of the United States. Charlie has been in healthcare for 8+ years. Prior to joining TeleHealth Solution, he worked for Aris Radiology, an outsourced, turnkey, national radiology group; who leverages their large network of subspeciality radiologists and teleradiologists to provide a high quality, efficient partnership. At Aris he worked his way up from their first outside sales professional to National Director of Business Development. At Aris, Charlie focused on organic growth; he worked side-by-side with both hospital executives and providers to find a partnership that work best for their communities.

Charlie has a passion for improving patients access to physicians; which is what drew him to TeleHealth Solution. He believes in the telemedicine is the platform, but what will drive this change in healthcare are the physicians behind the technology.

Charlie and his wife, Kristi, live in Denver with their dog Polly. They love to spend their free time in the mountains enjoying the fresh air and snow.

A devoted healthcare executive, Bryan Gouin’s experience encompasses over 13 years of progressive business development leadership. His dynamic leadership has raised the standard of care in post-acute care facilities across the country.

Bryan began his career leading the strategic planning efforts for one of North Carolina’s largest behavioral health organizations. He quickly developed an entrepreneurial passion for improving the quality of care provided to patients in the post-acute care industry. Bryan was instrumental in founding and growing the nation’s largest post-acute care behavioral health group, which was acquired by TeamHealth. Bryan was then promoted to the National Director of Behavioral Health Development for TeamHealth, and was in charge of orchestrating the development and execution of growing their post-acute service line.

My mother was ill for a long time while I was in my residency. There were several frightening, stressful occasions where she would be rushed to the ER, only to find out the issue was something quite simple and solveable. If TeleMedicine had been around, we could have accessed a doctor via audio or video conferencing and saved her—and our family—from the unnecessary stress and fear an avoidable transfer can cause in an already painful situation. I didn’t start out my medical career thinking about Skilled Nursing Facilities. Throughout my life, being a first generation American, I always championed the American spirit and knew this was a country where anyone could attain their goals. I believed that one of the best gifts in the world was the ability to help others, and dreamed of becoming a physician. So when I graduated from medical school, and stood proudly to take the Hippocratic oath, I thought my dream had come true. But while practicing as a hospitalist, I quickly realized there was a disconnect between my vision and the reality of the inpatient experience.

Watching a frail, defenseless patient curled up in the Emergency Room at 2 AM, no family or friends at their bedside, half covered in a sheet, I knew this was a broken system and that there had to be a better way.

Experiences like those led my partners and me to found TeleHealth Solution. Our technology can bring uncompromising care to patients who can remain comfortably in the convenience of their nursing facility…

Adam received his degree from Pennsylvania State University and, upon graduating, made the move to North Carolina. He began his career working for a private hospitalist group as a Billing and Scheduling Specialist. His duties included managing all billing operations for the group, as well as coordinating all physician scheduling for the various facilities in which they practiced.

Adam then accepted a management position with The Hospitalist Solution, a physician owned locum staffing agency that provides hospitalist coverage for various health systems throughout North Carolina. With The Hospitalist Solution, Adam handles all aspects of the day-to-day operations for the group, including credentialing, staffing, facility and physician relations, and various other administrative duties.

Dr. Theresa Sheehan
Regional Hospitalist Director - MD, FACP

Dr Sheehan comes to TeleHealth Solutions with more than 20 years experience in Hospital Medicine and Hospice Care. She is a native of Wood-Ridge, NJ and Currently resides in North Carolina. A graduate of Columbia University, she earned her medical doctorate at the now Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

She is an avid baker creating wonderful cakes and desserts for friends and family. She enjoys traveling to her family’s ancestral home in the Italian Alps and vacationing in the Appalachian Mountains with family.

She is married to Martin M Sheehan, Jr and they have four children and a dog, Lilly.

Regional Hospitalist Director - MD

Dr. Taylor is a Board Certified Family Physician who has been providing hospital medical care throughout NC, SC and TN for greater than 15yrs. Dr. Taylor’s background as a previous Medical Director of inpatient care as well as providing both pediatric and adult hospital based medicine brings a unique perspective to the TeleHealth Solutions team. She is a native of Monongah WV and currently lives in Spartanburg SC. A graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown.

She completed her residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and is a Diplomate with the American Academy of Family Physicians. In her spare time she enjoys painting, woodworking, traveling, hiking and fishing. She is married to Ken Frank, a retired Police Officer and former US Army MP. She is the proud mother of 2 boys, a US Marine and a WV coal miner and 2 dogs Echo and ASA.

Scott Whitaker is a trained UI/UX Developer, Experienced Creative Director, and advertising marketing “Guru”. Beginning his career in ad agencies at the age of 19 as the apprentice to world famous creative Angelo DeSantis of DDB (Doyle Dane Bernbach) fame. He quickly under his tutelage formed a keen knowledge of hands on creative & design, marketing/strategy creation and understanding the art of the pitch. Combined with a self taught knowledge of web design (which began when he was 12 years old in 1996). Scott became a tool for the advertising agency scene in the triad NC at the height of web design, crafting before most art directors even started learning the skill. Scott has created multiple Addy award winning works in his time spent in the agency world.
